Marco Esquivel has been privileged with being able to serve others for the past 30+ years of his life. Marco has spent over 30 years serving the citizens of California by assuring the State of California had the money available to run California. He served as the Director for Financial Management at the State Franchise Tax Board, where he was responsible for financial operations and decision-making. During his 30+ year career, he served as a budget analyst, a manager, and director for the Department of Consumer Affairs and the State Franchise Tax Board.
Marco has served both Southern Ca. and Northern Ca. as a realtor now for 5 years and has successfully helped many home sellers and buyers.
While serving with the State of California, he also served as a football coach handling both commitments with a passion and work ethic that required 14-hour days and at times serving 7 days a week. He coached football for 29 years, completing his career with La Costa Canyon High School in 2019.
He Coached football at the Community College, High School, and youth levels. During his career, he was part of the Sierra College coaching staff that held a national record of 37 consecutive wins from 2002 to 2005. He also was part of the Del Oro High School staff that won the 2013 Northern California Regional Championship and represented Northern California versus Southern California in the 2013 Division 1 state championship.
Marco is a proven leader and exhibits the work ethic to be successful in serving in the real estate industry. He chose to begin a career in real estate so he could continue to help others. Marco knows buying and selling homes are life-altering decisions and knows he has the skills, and professionalism necessary to assure folks are taken care of. He understands that his clients will always come first. Marco has been married for 31 years to Mary Esquivel and has two children. Christina is 26 years old and Marco Jr is 23 years old. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the California State University of Sacramento and a Masters in Sports Science from the United State Sports Academy. Marco also enjoys outdoor sports, the beaches, and skiing, and loves college football.
